Anthony J. Novak

Anthony J Novak, age 80, late of South Holland, IL formerly of Dolton, IL and Riverdale, IL, passed away December 30, 2023. He was devoted to his wife Joyce for 65 years. He was also devoted to his Catholic faith. Anthony enjoyed walking outside in South Holland, working on cars and motorcycles. He was an avid fan of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Beloved husband of Joyce Novak nee Vanderbok for 60 years. Loving father of Anthony (Sandy) Novak, Jospeh (Donna) Novak, David (Margaret) Novak, Linda (Philip) Capone, the late Peter and Daniel Novak. Cherished grandfather of Matthew (Robyn), the late Grace, Amanda, Kyle (Cheyenne), Alex (Lindsay), Teresa, Adam (Kate), Christian, Elijah, Gabriel, Joshua, and Rorie Boerema. Cherished great grandfather of Danielle, Aviette, Camille, Layla, Zachary, and Teaghan. Caring brother of Francis (late Tom) Walthouse. Kind Uncle of several nieces and nephews. Dear son of the late Anthony and Sarah Novak nee McAtee.
Visitation, Monday, January 8, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 S. Harlem Ave. Tinley Park, IL 60477. Prayers at the Funeral Home, Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. to St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Catholic Church for 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
