Adam Bryant Been

Adam Bryant Been, late of Manhattan, IL. passed away May 26, 2020. Adam attended Lincoln-Way East High School where he was recruited by Columbia University (New York) to play football. He recently completed his Junior year at College of St Francis where he was majoring in Computer Science. He worked several jobs ranging from Computer Programming to laborer. Adam will be remembered for his kindness, his creativity used to create software applications, his keen sense of adventure, his gift of wisdom, and his love and closeness he felt for his family.

Adam is survived by his parents Audrean (Benson) and Kevin Jurgens, beloved brother Branden Been and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces. Adam was preceded in death by his father Russell R. Been, his grandparents Richard Been Jr. and Donna (Davis) Been, Kenneth and Evelyn (Gillete) Benson, his uncle Peter Winker, his aunt Carol Ann Benson, his uncle Doug Benson, his aunt Vicki (Mace) Benson and cousin Jason Been.

Burial was private in St. John’s Cemetery in Mokena. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Vandenberg Funeral Home, Mokena 708-479-1210
