Timothy David Danalewich passed away peacefully following a brief illness on June 12, 2024, the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of our Blessed Mother Mary. It is comforting to know that he was welcomed into eternal life wrapped up in her loving arms. He was born on March 28, 1993 to Diana and John Danalewich.
Tim is preceded in death by his mother, Diana; Paternal Grandparents Frank and Rose Danalewich; and Maternal Grandparents Harry and Delores Danczak.
Tim is survived by his Always Present, Loving and Devoted Father, John, Stepmom, Jennifer, and his caring Brother and Friend, Michael Hellman. He is also survived by his Sister Kathryn and many, many loving cousins, aunts, uncles, and close friends.
Tim graduated from Oak Forest High School in 2012. Anyone who knew Tim was touched by his love of being out in the world. The world was his playing field! He loved going to football games, but he could never get enough of the marching bands during pre-game and half-time. One might consider him an honorary member of the Sandburg High School Pep Band because he was ever present on Friday evenings and was awarded a band t-shirt at the beginning of each season. Following graduation, Tim attended the Southwest Coop Transition Program and went on to participate in an adult workshop through ELIM Christian Services.
Tim participated in multiple Special Olympics events over the years, but enjoyed basketball, bocce ball, track & field and softball throw most of all. There were few activities that Tim didn’t like and his involvement with SSSRA kept him busy bowling, dancing, exercising and socializing with friends. Tim also participated in the Adult SPRED program through St. Alphonsus in Lemont. Tim’s Father hopes everyone who knew Tim will remember his simplicity, love of friends and family, warm smile and contagious giggle.
