Richard Allen Standish Sr.

Richard Allen Standish Sr., age 79, of Green Garden Township, IL, passed away November 15, 2024. U.S. Army Veteran with the 82nd Airborne. Retired lineman from ComEd. Richard later went on to work as a heavy equipment operator at Local 150. Richard enjoyed restoring cars, especially his Corvettes. He loved boating and riding his Harley. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Beloved husband of Beth Weibel. Loving father of Rick Standish Jr., Tim (Michelle) Standish, Richelle Graff. Loving stepfather of Stephen and Brian Reilly. Cherished grandfather of Melanie, Kevin, Kyle, Tori, Emma, Collin, Evan, and Joshua. Caring brother of Rosann (Tom) Walsh, Russ, Robert (Cheryl), the late Ron (Ede), Roger (Gina), and Roy (Dawn) Standish. Dear son of the late Russell and Rose (nee Parrillo) Standish. Beloved uncle of several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service, Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 S. Harlem Ave. Tinley Park, IL 60477. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
