Judy Howard (Hriljac), 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2025, in her home in Tinley Park. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Hriljac and Mildred "Millie" Hriljac (Dvornik), as well as her husband, Herbert Howard Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Niki Hetrick (husband Steve), and grandson, Jordan John ("JJ"). She is also survived by many cousins and countless friends.
Judy was a sweet, wise, generous, loyal, and loving woman who will be deeply missed by many. She was a loving wife in the years she had with her husband and the best mom anyone could ask for. She enjoyed having lunch with friends and vacationing in Florida, where she cherished time on the beach with her family. Recently, she visited Colorado to spend time with her new grandson, JJ, whom she absolutely adored.
Judy was known for her love of Starbucks frappuccinos, her generous tips to customer service staff, and her selfless spirit. She was a hardworking real estate agent and also worked at Harrah's in Joliet for many years. Everyone who knew her loved her. She was truly one of a kind, with a genuine and caring heart.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 6, at one of her favorite places: Portillo's (2306 E Lincoln Hwy, New Lenox). Family and friends are welcome to stop by anytime between 4:00 and 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to assist with memorial and cremation expenses (everloved.com/life-of/judy-howard) or donations to the Leukemia Society (in honor of her mother, Millie Hriljac) would be greatly appreciated.
