Wayne Emil Rechkemer, 77, late of Mokena, IL. Beloved husband of Joyce Rechkemer. Loving father of Julie (Sean) Ferguson, John (Nancy), Janet (John) Sarafin, and Dan Rechkemer. Proud grandfather of Morgan (Jared) Sarafin-Ross, Kira Ferguson, Hunter, Madison Sarafin, Makenzie Sarafin, Chloe, Sophia, Kathryn, Vincent, and great grandfather of Gia. Cherished cousin and best friend of Jim Yunker.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents Emil Rechkemer and Laverne Rechkemer, and his sister Elaine (Robert) Swan.

Wayne spent a career working for JC Penney retiring as a Manager, after his career at Penney's he enjoyed being a Realtor. He loved being outdoors and being in nature. He was an avid fisherman and a Chicago Cubs fan. He is currently in 1st place in Family Fantasy Football. His greatest joy was being with family!

Visitation will commence on Friday December 13, 2024 at 9:00 AM at St. John United Church of Christ 11100 2nd St, Mokena, IL 60448 until time of Service at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow in St. John's United Church of Christ Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Vandenberg Funeral Home Mokena.
