Robert "Rob" E. Page, living in Tinley Park, IL, passed on to eternal life on Saturday, May 25th. He was born to Margie and Casmer Page in West Frankfort, IL on September 20, 1945. Casmer, Margie, and his sister Mary Kay preceded him in death. He is lovingly survived by Mary Kay’s husband Bob (Sharon) and their children John (Debbie), Joe (the late Johnna), and Jeffrey (Heather). Also surviving are his nephews and niece Eric (Aspen), Chris, Matt, Jake, Keegan, Brock, Emma (Kole), and Jack (Sydney) along with three great nephews/niece Michael, Ryan, and Hannah.
Rob grew up on the South Side of Chicago mainly in Calumet Park. He graduated from Blue Island Eisenhower High School and served in the Marines. He was an Auto Mechanic also working at the Dog N Suds owned by Casmer and Margie. He moved to Midlothian and continued working as an Auto Mechanic in the Tinley Park area. Rob worked on vehicles for numerous friends and customers through the years and was always willing to help anyone needing assistance. He kept and remained close to numerous high school friends on the South Side. Some of Rob’s favorite things to do with his friends were Super Bowl parties, golf outings, softball and playing cards. He was a frequent traveler to Florida, Hilton Head, and loved traveling to Las Vegas even though he was not a gambler. He spent the last 7 years of his life caring for his mother Margie who recently passed away at 102. He dedicated these years to caring for her 24/7 at her home in Tinley Park. Rob always enjoyed seeing his nephews and their families. He and Margie would often visit them at holidays driving to Northern Indiana. He was extremely quick witted and had so many stories of adventures with his close friends. He will be greatly missed by many people on the South Side.
Memorial Visitation, Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. George Catholic Church, 6707 175th St. Tinley Park, IL 60477. Private Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed in Rob’s name to Catholic Charities of Chicago or a Mental Health Association of your choice.
