Patricia Mary Harvey

Patricia M. Harvey née Greenan, age 75, at rest Sunday January 21, 2024. Beloved and loving wife of 53 years to the late Ted Harvey. Loving and dedicated mother of Jennifer (Kevin), Jeffrey (Cheryl), and Jill (Tommy); Devoted grandmother of Tristan (Brittany), Isabel, Kaylee, Caden, and Ethan, and caring great grandmother of Paisley. Dear sister of Hugh (Louise) Greenan.

Pat had a respected and successful nursing career that began when she became a Registered Nurse in 1968. Being the determined individual she was, she earned her Bachelor's (BSN) at Lewis University in 1985 while working full time as a nurse and raising three children. She worked at St. Francis Hospital in Blue Island, IL where she innovated many things that had great influences on hospitals today, most famously the family overnight rooms and the pocket on the hospital gowns. After her tenure at St. Francis she took her vast hospital knowledge to Core Solutions and Heartcare Center of Illinois.

Besides being an incredible nurse and caretaker to all, Pat enjoyed maintaining her property, gardening, cooking for all and most importantly spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed watching her three children play sports and later in life watching them coach. Although, nothing brought more joy than her grandchildren and great grandbaby. Pat was the ultimate caretaker that always put others ahead of herself, preferred quality time with those she loved and she is known for being "everyone's grandma," the role she cherished the most.

Visitation will be held, Monday, January 29, 2024, 3:00-8:00 PM at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 19604 Wolf Road, Mokena, IL. Funeral, Tuesday, January 30, 2024, 9:30 AM at the Funeral Home to St. Mary Church, Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM. Interment to follow in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, Pat's family would prefer donations toward a tree or potted plant and memorial stones to be placed in their individual yards. Donations will be collected at the wake or can be sent directly to family via Venmo @CoachJH.
