a Son Dr. Patrick Cunningham of Western Springs IL and wife Dr. Jennifer Cunningham, Grandchildren Gavin and Tierney, Son Andrew Cunningham of Frankfort IL and wife Beth Cunningham Grandchildren Allison of Mound, MN, Emily of Palatine, IL and Colin also survive. She Married Glenn P Cunningham, divorced 1994, who died in 2011

Linda graduated from Jeannette, PA High School in 1955. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a BA in English in 1959, then obtained a Master of Language Arts in 1963. She was a proud member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority.
Linda taught English and History at several schools, notably Thomas Jefferson Junior-Senior High School in Pleasant Hills, PA. She was a 1000 hour volunteer at St John’s Hospital in Westlake OH during her years living in Avon Lake OH. Linda loved gardening, reading, following politics, getting her hair done on Friday afternoons, and before she became ill, travel. Most of all, she loved her five grandchildren, moving to Illinois in 2002 to be closer to them. Her cairn terriers, Talley and Maggie, also held a special case in her heart. Private Memorial service will be held in December at Vandenberg Funeral Home in Mokena IL and internment at St Mary Cemetery in Mokena, IL .
